Prosciutto Wrapped Prawns (Mazzancolle al prosciutto crudo)


Ingredients for 2 persons

6 Shelled Prawns
6 Prosciutto Slices (Raw Ham)
4 Sage Leaves
2 Garlic Cloves
1 Knob of Butter
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and Black Pepper

Prosciutto Wrapped Prawns (Mazzancolle al prosciutto crudo)

 

Dust the prawns with salt and black pepper, sprinkle with a little olive oil and wrap 1 slice of prosciutto around each prawn
Place the sage in a baking pan then add the garlic cloves, pour in some olive oil and bake in preheated 200 C (392 F) oven for about 2 minutes
Remove the baking pan from oven, arrange the prawns in the pan,
sprinkle with black pepper, and spread with butter
Bake the prawns at 170 C (338 F) for 10 minutes
After 10 minutes, remove the baking pan from oven, transfer the prawns to a serving plate, garnish with sage leaves, pour over the olive oil and serve
